I'll Take "How To Make A Texan Smile," For $1K Please, Alex...

Whats Up Blogger Nation????????   This is your friendly neighborhood Texan checking in to wish everyone a Happy March 12th.  NO idea why or what happened but there you go.........Actually Girl Scouts of America was founded on this very day in 1912.  Also, Austria was officially part of the Third Reich after much coercion and threatening by Nazi Germany in 1938.  There is some totally random trivia you will have no use for whatsoever, but enjoy it ennywayz :)

Actually, I am posting some great news.  Two groundbreaking news stories that will shatter your confidence in the Universe as you know it.  Prepare for absolute amazement....I warned you......Strap yourself in......You really want it, huh??  Okay!

BRITTANY IS COMING TO SEE ME!!!!!!!!!!  WOOT WOOT!!!!!    Of course  its not really anything to get excited about.  I mean, its JUST my girlfriend, and you know how they can be sometimes.  And its not like I haven't seen her before either, so, yeah.......HAH!!!!  Nobody who knows about me an Britt believed a word of what was just said lol  No, I am really excited that she is able to come down to the Patron State of Shooting Stuff to Pieces.  She is really an amazing and absolutely gorgeous young lady, people.  I do recommend being cautious with her, because she has a streak of orneriness that is very cleverly concealed beneath her sweetness and dazzling smile.  But she really is the best I could have ever asked for... I mean I did ask for her, but still :)    One day in the future, Britt and I should tag-team and share the story of how we came to be together.  God works in mysterious ways, let me tell you.  It is so surreal sometimes, but I am indeed blessed beyond measure :)  "Cheshire cat grin of happiness"

And in other news, I am getting a new phone.  Sure, you may be like," Why in the cornbread world is that so groundbreaking?"  I understand, a little.   Until you have had a phone that shuts off three times in one minute for three different reasons, all of which are not true, then yeah...It will randomly start a countdown while telling me, with a charged battery, to use a genuine battery.  This happens about 10 or more times a day.  It tells me(with a 16G memory card which only has about 75 pics on it, no tones, and about 100+ contacts) that my memory is full.  16 GIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!   That is like almost 20,000 pics or a weeks worth of continuous listening for songs..And my memory is full.  RIIIIGHT!  So as a result, only text messages can be sent.  No MMS can be sent or received by my phone.   All that will change Friday.

Thank you, Steve Jobs, for my new phone, RIP good sir.

Well, that should suffice for now, I believe.  Updates shall come when deemed worthy of my sophisticated and high-brow followers.  To which I must say a hearty welcome to Mary Frances and Brooke Ford.  Welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy.....Alrighty folkses, have a fun week and please....please watch out for the Ligers and Yetis, I hear they are hungry today :)

Hmmmm...... I'll Go With Cheesecake and Flowers :)

FINALLY!!!!!!!   THE TEXAN HAS COME BACK TO BLOGGING!!!!  "Wild Cheering"  Yes, thank you one and all for that humbling standing ovation.  Please, Please, keep your seats.  Its okay, Im back now........

Well, If you have read the blog of my Oklahoma Princess, then you know that this Texan has done some traveling and some courting lately :)  For awhile now, I have been thinking and planning on a "real date."  No offense meant to certain family members is intended, but a real date without members of our respective families.  Don't get me wrong, Clan Copeland is more fun and has more laughs than a barrel of monkeys.  I thoroughly enjoy the fellowship every time I am up there in Tulsa.  And the Lee Family....well, we are typical crazy goofy Texans who just plain like to have a good time.  Now, that being said, a date isn't supposed to be with family.  It is consisted of two starry-eyed people (male and female) going out with two older starry-eyed people(non-family male and female).   So, there will be numerous times with our families yet to come in the future,,,,No doubt about it. But, it was nice to be with my pretty Lady for an evening of memories and great food.

So, I rolled into T-Town (as I've heard it called) and met up with THE WALDREPS and my Lady Brittany at the one and only Tulsa Lighthouse Church.  It was fuh-ree-zing cold outside, by the way. This Texas alligator is not a fan of the cold weather, at all.  So we decided to ride with the Waldreps, who were gracious to offer the use their vehicle for the evening, and Miss Brittany received a surprise when she opened her door.  PINK ROSES!!!!!!  Yes, a tip to all you guys thinking of dating....At some point, maybe not immediately, your lady should get some roses.  The look on Miss Brittany's face was priceless.  She seriously couldn't stop smiling :)  Some people will definitely receive some great paybacks....Jus sayin.

Oh, by the way, how could I forget......Miss Brittany looked very classy and very much like a true lady.  Of course, seeing as how she is one, its only natural.

Then we landed at Cheesecake Factory!!!  HOO-AH!!  We waited just a tad bit on a table and actually had  fun waiting on our table.  The Waldreps are hilarious and amazing people to be with.  Great role models for sure.

Well, after scarfing down a lot of the wonderful bread, we received our meals.  I had the wonderful Wasabi Crusted Ahi Tuna, and Miss Brittany got the Orange Chicken.  It was fabulous!  A most palette pleasing cuisine experience.  Of course what is a trip to the Factory without some cheesecake? Pointless, I tell ya, pointless.  Well, due to the addiction that my counterpart has to chocolate, not Sis Waldrep, Miss Brittany and I split the Chocolate Tuxedo.  Undoubtedly the richest confection ever invented.  No joke.  I had to really force myself the last couple of bites.  Delicious and wonderful, but oh so rich.

Afterwards, we thought about going to the mall. Because we had two ladies accompanying us and its just common logic to go shopping.  FAIL! The mall closed like 2mins before we got there.  Bummer!  Well, since I do not know Tulsa except for 71st Street, E. 20th Place, and the old ARK facilities, I was treated to a grand tour of Tulsa.  All the great spots, Jenks, Peoria, Riverside, Snob Hill ( Heh!), Blue Dome Downtown, ORU, and many others.  It was just an evening of memories and fun times with great people.

Saturday, I met with some of the guys from TLC and we grabbed some grub from Cracker Barrel and headed over to the BassMaster Classic at the Tulsa Convention Center.  Wall to wall people and bass fishing paraphernalia.  I felt so out of place with my argyle sweater vest, jeans, blue paisley shirt, and brown shoes lol  It was fun though, other than having lemonade spilled on me (thanks a million Dakota).  Oh what fun :):)

So then I headed back to the home of the Copelands, for a nap-time and some Taco Salad made by Chef Krissy :)  Which was very good by the way.....I may hire you to cook my meals sometime.  Just box em up and ship em down lol  Later that evening, we sojourned back to the House of Light in Tulsa Church for the evening bible study class.  Bro Waldrep did a tremendous job expounding on how your faith influences your circumstances.  Excellent job!   And then surprise again, that night we were treated to a meal of Italian  origins by none other than Nelson and Lindsay Votaw at Johnny Carino's.  Again, good food and fellowship with great people.  Nelson had us entertained most of the time......Eh, make that ALL the time :):)

Sunday morning, we headed for Bus Ministry.  Good teaching was given by Bro. French about prayer being our way of communication with God.  Very good teaching and a great response by the kids in the altars.  We then headed over to Grandma and Grandpas house for some convo and relaxation.  I sooooooo did not want to leave but I had to depart.  Sad goodbyes were issued and promises of returns were made ( and intend to be kept ) by us both.

Thanks to the Copelands for again allowing this crazy dreamy eyed Texan to stay with them, yall are really great people.  Thanks to Eld. Howard for allowing me the opportunities to come to Tulsa and see my Lady.  A HUMONGOUS Thanks to my unofficial Aunt and Uncle/ Family Friends the Waldreps!!!!!!  You guys made the evening even more fun and special by agreeing to be the All Seeing Eyes.  Thank you, thank you, so much.  "Air Hug and Air Handshake"   And thanks most of all to my pretty Lady Brittany for letting this Texan come up there and treat her like she should be treated.  It would have been pointless without you, Brittany :)  Thanks for the memories.......

Whew! Okay that should suffice for now, I hope.  See the Princess  for any pics of the journey.  I keep forgetting my camera lol  Adios Amigos!!!!!!!!!

Dreamy Eyed in Texas,

-Travis E. Lee,
