Ramblings of a Traveling Man..........

So yeah, I am pretty terrible about my blog update diligence.  I sincerely apologize to all my precious and dedicated followers.  Please forgive my folly..........

I have good news though, my fellow bloggers............................The Army of Texas has launched a campaign against the barbaric hordes of Oklahoma.  MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, I am fixin ( good ole Texas lingo ) to leave for the shining metropolis of Tulsa, OK in approximately 1 hour and 1/2 of another hour.  Why in the world would any self-respecting Texan venture into the state of Chaos/Oklahoma, you ask???????  Well, for me it is easy........

This beautiful lady right here :):)  She is the best...Really, she is.  You doubt me?   Just take my word on it, she is the best ever.  Godly, smart, beautiful, ornery as all get out ( like a raccoon or a spider monkey), and an all around good person.  Heh, Texans are just more favored and blessed above all others......Why she puts up with me and my shenanigans, I will never know.  She will be gray in about 2 more months LOL

Well, thats all really, just letting people know I haven't forgotten them and that Im still alive.  I will post more about this trip, its very special, but you will have to tune in, uuuuhhhhhhh, Monday maybe.  Try to get some pics posted up along with it as well.

Take luck people, have a safe and non-chaotic weekend.  And remember to keep a look out for the Zombies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. I was just kidding about the coon and monkey thing, Britt.....Dont kill me please :)  But you are ornery tho.....

The Flags of America and Texas Are Weeping...

In honor of one man that few may know I dedicate this post to his legacy and his selfless sacrificial service........

On Saturday, February 2, 2013,  Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle, Navy, SEAL Team 3,Charlie Platoon, was shot and killed at a Central Texas gun range.  He was the father to a small boy and a small girl, and husband to Taya Kyle.

Chris Kyle is "the most deadliest sniper in US History."  He has 160 confirmed kills out of 250+ claimed kills.  He served in the Navy SEALs the years 1999-2009, serving through four deployments.  He was awarded several medals;

He was nicknamed "The Devil Of Ramadi" by the terrorists and insurgents of Iraq during the Iraqi Campaign for his deadly skills and unerring marksmanship.  His longest shot was fired from the  MacMilan Tac .338 at a terrorist fixing to fire upon a convoy with a rocket launcher.  The distance was 2100yds.  He wrote the book "American Sniper" which is an autobiography of his life and service in the Navy.  He gave his life and time during those years to stand and fight for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy and too often take for granted.

We should always take the time and the minute effort and show our appreciation to any servicemen/women we know for their sacrifce.  CPO Chris Kyle was a Native Texan and our proud state will remember his legacy and his sacrifice.  You, sir, are a true American Hero.  As Americans, we are grateful.  As a Texan I am proud to call you a Texas Brother.  Thank You for your service.  A Soldier has fallen and we must never forget......................But Always Remember.

Rest In Peace Chief Petty Officer Kyle....... "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday"-SEAL Motto

Your Texas Brother,
Colonel Travis E. Lee, Army of the Republic of Texas
